How to Start a Report From a Previous Report
Use this tutorial when you want a new report to begin with data from an existing report.
Before you begin
Before you begin, identify the existing report you want to use as the source. Confirm you have permission to access that report. Confirm the source report type is appropriate for the new assignment.
Review whether the new report should keep the same subject property. Review whether the new report should keep the same client information. Review whether workfiles, photos, sketch data, or exhibits should carry forward.
Decide whether a duplicate order or a template is the better workflow.
Choose the correct workflow
Use a duplicate or previous-report workflow when the new report should start very close to the old report. Use a template when you only want reusable defaults. Use a brand-new report when the subject, client, and report content are unrelated.
If the new report is for the same subject but a different assignment, duplicate carefully and review every assignment-specific field. If the new report is for a different subject, prefer a template unless you intentionally want to carry over most data.
Find the source report
Open AIVRE. Go to the dashboard or orders list. Search for the source report by address, client, or date.
Open the source report. Confirm the address is correct. Confirm the report type is correct.
Confirm this is the report you want to copy.
Start from the previous report
Open the available report actions. Choose the duplicate, copy, or start-from-previous-report action when available. Wait for AIVRE to create the new order.
Do not refresh while the order is being created. When creation finishes, open the new report. Confirm the new report has a new order record.
Review copied property and assignment data
Open Subject Property. Confirm the subject address. Confirm the unit number if applicable.
Confirm parcel and legal details. Remove any data that does not apply to the new assignment. Open Assignment Information.
Update the client if needed. Update intended users if needed. Update intended use if needed.
Update effective date, inspection date, and report date. Save the section.
Review copied files, exhibits, and valuation
Open workfiles. Remove documents that do not belong to the new assignment. Upload any new documents.
Review copied photos and captions. Remove outdated photos. Add current photos if required.
Open each valuation section. Remove comparables that do not apply. Add new comparables if needed.
Update adjustments, commentary, reconciliation, and final value.
Validate and export
Run validation. Resolve errors. Review warnings.
Read the report from top to bottom. Confirm no stale source-report information remains. Export the report when the review is complete.
Open the export and verify it before delivery.
