How to use AI/autofill safely

Use this tutorial when AIVRE offers AI or autofill features for report setup, section completion, photo review, or data extraction.

Before you begin

Before you begin, open the report. Confirm you are in the correct order. Upload the source documents, photos, or files needed for autofill.

Confirm the uploaded files belong to the correct property. Understand that AI/autofill output is a draft. Plan to verify every important value before relying on it.

Start autofill

Open the section or workflow that supports autofill. Click the AI, autofill, extract, analyze, or similar action. Review any prompt, setting, or file selection shown before starting.

Select the correct files if the workflow asks you to choose them. Start the autofill process. Wait for processing to finish.

Do not refresh the browser while autofill is running.

Review generated values

Open the fields filled by AI/autofill. Read each generated value. Compare names, addresses, dates, prices, measurements, ratings, and conclusions against source documents.

Look for blank fields that still need manual entry. Look for values placed in the wrong field. Look for copied text that does not match the current assignment.

Correct anything that is wrong or unsupported.

Verify source data

Open the source document, photo, MLS sheet, public record, or workfile used by AI/autofill. Confirm the source belongs to the correct subject or comparable. Confirm the source date is appropriate.

Confirm the source supports the field value. Use the strongest source when two sources conflict. Add commentary when a value requires judgment or reconciliation between sources.

Review photos and exhibits generated by AI

Open each photo or exhibit added by AI/autofill. Confirm the image shows the correct property or feature. Confirm the category is correct.

Confirm the caption accurately describes the image. Remove duplicate or irrelevant images. Replace unclear images when needed.

Save exhibit corrections.

Review commentary carefully

Read every AI-generated commentary field. Confirm the commentary is specific to the assignment. Remove generic language that does not add support.

Remove unsupported conclusions. Correct references to the wrong property, client, date, comparable, or section. Add your own analysis where the report requires professional judgment.

Run validation after autofill

During validation, save the section. Run validation. Fix validation errors first.

Review validation warnings. Open any section affected by autofill. Confirm the correction did not create a conflict in another section.

Rerun validation after corrections.

Final AI/autofill checklist

Treat AI/autofill as assistance, not final review. Verify important fields against source support. Confirm photos, exhibits, captions, and categories are correct.

Confirm commentary is assignment-specific. Confirm valuation conclusions are your own supported conclusions. Remove or correct unsupported output.

Export only after manual review is complete.
