How to navigate a report
Use this tutorial when you are inside a report and want to understand how to move through the editor without losing your place.
Before you begin
Before you begin, open AIVRE. Open the report you want to work on. Wait for the report editor to load completely.
Confirm the subject address or order name is the correct one. Keep your source documents nearby so you can fill sections as you move through the report.
Understand the report editor layout
Look for the report title or subject address near the top of the page. Use that title to confirm you are in the correct report. Find the left navigation.
Review the list of report sections in the left navigation. Notice that each section represents one part of the report. Use the main content area to fill the selected section.
Use top or page actions for report-level tasks such as saving, validation, templates, export, or other available actions.
Use the left navigation
Start with the first section in the left navigation. Click a section name to open that section. Wait for the section fields to load.
Review any values already filled in. Complete the fields in that section. Save if the editor requires a manual save.
Move to the next section from the left navigation. Continue section by section until the report is complete.
Understand section status
Review any status indicator shown beside a section. Treat error indicators as items that must be fixed. Treat warning indicators as items that should be reviewed.
Treat completed or clean indicators as a sign that the section currently has no blocking validation issue. Open sections with errors first when preparing the report for delivery. Do not assume a section is correct just because it has no visible error.
Still review important fields, dates, commentary, exhibits, and valuation conclusions.
Save your work
Watch for autosave messages if the report autosaves. If there is a manual save button, click it after completing a section. Wait for the save confirmation before leaving the page.
Do not refresh the browser while a save is in progress. If a save fails, stay on the same section. Copy any long commentary into a temporary note if needed.
Retry saving after the connection or validation issue is resolved.
Move between sections safely
Finish the field you are editing before clicking another section. Save or wait for autosave before moving. Use the left navigation instead of the browser back button when moving inside the report.
Return to previous sections when validation or later analysis shows something needs correction. Keep section data consistent across the full report. For example, if you change a subject property fact, review related valuation and exhibit sections.
Use validation as a navigation tool
During validation, run validation when available. Review the validation list. Click the first validation item if it links to a section or field.
Fix the field. Save the change. Return to validation.
Continue until the report has no unresolved errors.
Final navigation checklist
Open each section at least once before final export. Confirm required fields are complete. Confirm commentary is specific to the assignment.
Confirm exhibits are attached and captioned correctly. Confirm no copied or template text is stale. Run validation again.
Export only after the report is internally consistent.
