How to upload and manage exhibits
Use this tutorial when you need to add photos, documents, maps, sketches, or other support files to a report section.
Before you begin
Before you begin, open the report. Confirm you are in the correct order. Gather the photos or files you want to upload.
Rename files if helpful before upload. Remove blurry, duplicate, or unrelated files before adding them. Confirm which report section the exhibit supports.
Open the correct section
Use the left navigation to open the section that needs exhibits. Find the exhibit, photo, attachment, or upload area in that section. Review any existing exhibits.
Confirm whether the new file belongs in this section or another section. Avoid adding the same exhibit to multiple sections unless it is truly needed in more than one place.
Upload photos or files
Click the upload or add exhibit control. Select the photo or file from your computer. Add multiple files only when the section supports multiple exhibits.
Wait for the upload to finish. Do not close the browser while files are uploading. Confirm each uploaded file appears in the exhibit list.
If an upload fails, try again with the same file or a smaller version of the file.
Choose the exhibit category
Open the category field for the exhibit. Select the category that best matches the file. Use a section-specific category when available.
Use a general exhibit category only when no more specific option applies. Do not leave category blank if the section requires it. Confirm the category matches what the image or file actually shows.
Add a clear caption
Click the caption or description field. Describe what the exhibit shows. Keep the caption short but specific.
Include location or context when helpful. Avoid generic captions like "photo" or "image.". Do not use a caption that conflicts with the selected category.
Save the exhibit after entering the caption.
Review exhibit quality
Open or preview each exhibit. Confirm the image is clear. Confirm the file is not upside down or cropped incorrectly.
Confirm the exhibit belongs to the current assignment. Confirm private or unrelated information is not included. Replace any file that is unclear or incorrect.
Remove duplicates and wrong files
Review the exhibit list from top to bottom. Look for duplicate photos or duplicate documents. Keep the clearest and most useful copy.
Remove duplicate files. Remove exhibits that belong to another property or assignment. Remove exhibits that do not support the section.
Save after removing files.
Final exhibit check
Confirm each required exhibit is present. Confirm each exhibit has the correct category. Confirm each exhibit has a useful caption.
Confirm the exhibit supports the section where it is attached. Run validation. Fix any exhibit category, caption, or missing-file warnings.
Review the exported report to confirm exhibits display correctly.
