The Story Behind Aivre: Who We Are and Why We Built It
The Story Behind Aivre: Who We Are and Why We Built It

As Aivre continues to grow across the appraisal industry, I think it is important for appraisers, lenders, and AMCs to understand not only what Aivre does, but who we are.
Aivre did not start as a legacy software company trying to modernize an existing product. We started with a different vision.
We wanted to build appraisal technology for where the industry was going, not where it had been.
Built by an Appraiser and a Technologist
I have spent more than a decade in the residential appraisal industry. Before becoming the Co Founder and CEO of Aivre, I experienced many of the same frustrations appraisers deal with every day. Repetitive data entry, outdated software, inefficient workflows, and technology that often required the appraiser to adapt to the software instead of the software adapting to the appraiser.
That experience became an important part of why Aivre was created. My Co Founder and CTO, Jordan Lesson, brought the technology side of that vision to life.
Jordan leads our technology and engineering strategy and has been instrumental in building Aivre into the platform it is today. Together, we bring two very different but complementary perspectives to the company.
I understand the appraisal. Jordan understands how to build the technology. That combination has shaped Aivre from the beginning.
We are not building technology and then asking appraisers how they might use it. We start by understanding how appraisers actually work and then determine how technology can make that process better.
That is what it means when we say Aivre is appraiser led.
Privately Owned and Founder Led
Aivre is a privately held company.
Jordan and I remain the primary decision makers behind the direction of the business. We are directly involved in product strategy, technology, customer relationships, partnerships, and the long term vision of the company.
That structure allows us to move quickly.
When appraisers provide feedback, that feedback does not have to travel through layers of corporate management before reaching the people making decisions.
It reaches us.
We listen to what appraisers are asking for. We work directly with our team. We prioritize improvements. And when we believe something will make the platform better, we can move.
That ability to make decisions quickly has become one of Aivre's biggest advantages.
Privately Owned, Venture Backed
Being privately owned does not mean we are building alone.
Aivre is backed by outside investment capital that has allowed us to continue investing in engineering, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, customer support, and the long term development of the platform.
We believe that is an important distinction.
We have access to capital that allows us to think bigger and invest aggressively in the future of appraisal technology, while Aivre continues to operate as an independent, founder led company.
Our investors believe in what we are building, but Jordan and I remain deeply involved in the decisions that shape the company every day.
That means our priorities remain centered around our users, our technology, and where we believe the appraisal industry is going.
Why We Chose UAD 3.6
That philosophy is also why we made the decision to build Aivre specifically for UAD 3.6. We did not want to spend years recreating yesterday's appraisal software.
We saw UAD 3.6 as an opportunity to start over.
Dynamic reporting, structured data, artificial intelligence, automation, modern UI and UX, cloud based technology, and mobile workflows create an entirely different opportunity for appraisal software.
Aivre became the first appraisal software platform to complete GSE verification for UAD 3.6, and we have continued learning through real world production ever since.
The transition is happening now.
Appraisers should be completing UAD 3.6 reports. Lenders should be increasing their UAD 3.6 volume. AMCs should be preparing their panels and workflows.
Waiting until the mandate means learning under pressure. Starting now means gaining experience while there is still time to learn.
We Are Just Getting Started
Aivre has grown considerably from the idea Jordan and I originally had, but the mission has remained remarkably consistent.
Build better technology for appraisers. Listen to the people actually using it. Move quickly.
Continue innovating.
And never lose sight of the professional at the center of the appraisal.
We believe the next generation of appraisal software will look very different from the last generation, and we intend for Aivre to continue helping lead that transformation.
If you have been watching Aivre from the sidelines, now is the time to experience the platform for yourself.
Sign up for Aivre, onboard to the platform, or schedule a live demo with our team. You can also take advantage of our Early Adopter Sale before it ends on September 1, 2026.
UAD 3.6 is changing appraisal reporting. We built Aivre to help appraisers lead that change.
