64 Business Days Until UAD 3.6
64 Business Days Until UAD 3.6

The appraisal industry is no longer talking about a transition that is years away.
We are now counting down the business days.
As of today, there are approximately 64 business days remaining until the November 2 UAD 3.6 mandate.
That should put the timeline into perspective.
Sixty four business days may sound like a lot, but in reality, it is a very short period of time for appraisers, lenders, and AMCs to learn new workflows, train staff, implement new technology, and become comfortable with a completely new reporting standard.
The August warning messages are now beginning to reinforce what the industry has known for some time. The transition is happening, and the timeline remains in place.
The question is no longer whether UAD 3.6 is coming.
The question is whether you will be ready.
If you are an appraiser, now is the time to begin completing UAD 3.6 reports. Every assignment you complete builds confidence, improves efficiency, and makes the next report easier. The appraisers who wait until the final weeks before the mandate will be learning under pressure. The appraisers who start today will already have experience when UAD 3.6 becomes the industry standard.
If you are a lender, now is the time to continue expanding UAD 3.6 adoption. Train your staff, refine your internal workflows, and begin increasing the volume of UAD 3.6 orders. The organizations that prepare now will experience a much smoother transition than those waiting until the deadline.
If you are an AMC, work with your appraiser panel today. Encourage your appraisers to begin accepting UAD 3.6 assignments and ensure your internal review processes are prepared for the new reporting standard. Helping your panel gain experience now will benefit everyone when the mandate arrives.
One thing is becoming increasingly clear. More lenders are entering production. More pilot programs are succeeding. More UAD 3.6 reports are being completed every week.
The momentum is building exactly as the GSEs intended. By the time November arrives, the industry will expect participants to be ready.
Do not spend the final weeks before the mandate trying to learn a new workflow. Use the remaining business days to gain experience, become comfortable with the technology, and position yourself ahead of the curve.
At Aivre, we continue to help appraisers, lenders, and AMCs prepare for the future of appraisal reporting through real world UAD 3.6 production. There has never been a better time to begin.
