UAD 2.6 Is Retiring. The Future Starts with UAD 3.6

One of the questions we occasionally receive is why Aivre did not develop software around UAD 2.6. The answer comes down to one simple principle. We built Aivre for where the industry is going, not where the industry was.
From the beginning, our focus has been on the future of appraisal reporting. UAD 3.6 represents the largest modernization effort the appraisal industry has seen in decades. Structured data, dynamic reporting, AI integration, and modern workflows are not temporary changes. They are the foundation of the next generation of appraisal technology.
At the same time, the industry is rapidly approaching the retirement of UAD 2.6. By November, the legacy UAD 2.6 report will officially be retired as the GSE transition into full UAD 3.6 adoption. Even before that deadline, October will begin introducing warning periods around ordering UAD 2.6 reports as the industry prepares for the final transition.
The momentum behind this shift extends beyond the GSEs alone. FHA is currently aligned with the same November transition timeline, while VA adoption is expected shortly after. The direction of the industry is becoming increasingly clear. Modern appraisal reporting standards are arriving quickly, and appraisers will need software built specifically for that environment.
Because of this, Aivre made the decision early to dedicate our development resources entirely toward UAD 3.6 and the next generation of appraisal workflows. Rather than investing into legacy architecture approaching retirement, we focused on building a modern platform designed to support appraisers long term.
That does not mean we ignored the broader needs of the industry. In addition to our UAD 3.6 platform, Aivre has already launched Aivre Reports for GPAR assignments and will also be releasing a vacant land report. Our goal is to provide appraisers with a complete ecosystem that supports multiple assignment types while maintaining the same modern UI, UX, and AI driven workflow across the platform.
This consistency matters. Appraisers should not have to jump between outdated systems and disconnected workflows depending on the assignment type. By keeping report styles unified within a single ecosystem, Aivre helps simplify operations while preparing appraisers for the future of reporting.
The transition into UAD 3.6 will also continue expanding into additional lending segments. While GSE adoption is driving the current timeline, we expect the migration from UAD 2.6 to UAD 3.6 for many non QM and private lending workflows to continue developing into early 2027. This reinforces why building for the future now is so important.
The reality is simple. The industry is moving toward more structured data, more automation, modern reporting standards, and AI assisted workflows. Software built around static form filling and legacy systems will continue to face increasing challenges adapting to that environment.
Aivre was built specifically for this transition. Every decision we have made has been centered around preparing appraisers for the next era of valuation technology rather than extending the lifespan of software standards already approaching retirement.
If you are preparing for UAD 3.6 or evaluating how your workflow will evolve over the next several years, now is the time to experience a platform built specifically for the future of the industry.
Schedule a demo, onboardinto the platform, or take advantage of our early adopter opportunity today and see why appraisers across the country are transitioning to Aivre ahead of the industry shift.
